#THETOOLS #FORBLOGGING.

WordPress

WordPress offers two options: a self-hosted option where you download the software and uoload it to your server and a hosted option where WordPress hosts your blog for you.
Pros and Cons oof the hosted solution.

Pros
Free: You can set up your blog and launch it. You can  upgrade to versions to get more publishing and customization as your budget allows.
Easy: No technical skill are needed to set up your blog. The entire process is menu driven. Select your name, choose a template design, and start writing your first blog post.
Good template options: WordPress.com offers 218 blog template to choose from. Each can be customized slightly to match your tastes.

Cons
Limited flexibilty: You will need to stick with the options offered by WordPress. Customizations are limited to what the service offers.
Creative restrictions: Users are restricted to the existing template choices for the look and feel of the blog. You can make slight tweaks to the template options, but you won't be able to make extensive changes without paying for an upgrade.
Domain/branding: Free users must use a web address that includes wordpress.com such as your domain.wordpress.com. These Wordpress-branded domains could confuse blog visitors and destract from your branding. You can upgrade your membership to get a custom domain; however, this could stretch the budget of someone looking for a low- or no-cost blogging solution.
