WHAT WE LOOK FOR OUR LEADERSHIP

Leaders are Problem-Solvers.

Success and happiness in life depend on willingness to help

others to solve their problems. Successful people are problemsolvers.

Lawyers solves legal matters. Physicians solve physical

problems. The automobile mechanic solves car problems. Jesus

Christ was a problem-solver. Jesus forgive sinner. Many were

spiritually starved. He said, “I am the Bread of life” (John 6:35)

Leaders have something others people don’t have. They solved

others people problems. Take an inventory of yourself. What do

you have to offer someone? What do you enjoy doing? What

would you attempt to do if you knew it was impossible to fail?

To be a leader is not an accident. God planned your birth and is a

gift from God. “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and

before thou carries forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I

ordained thee” (Jeremiah 1:5). “There are so many gifts still

unopened from birthday, there are so many hand-crafted

presents have been sent to you by God. The beloved does not

mind repeating, “Everything I have is also yours.” There are so

many gifts, my dear still unopened from your birthday.

The power to discover our voice lies in the potential that was

bequeathed us at birth. Latent and undeveloped, the seed of

greatness were given magnificent “birth-gifts-talents, capacities,

privileges, intelligences, opportunities-that would remain largely

unopened except through our own decision and effort. Because of

these gifts, the potential within an individual is tremendous, even

infinite. We really have no clue what a person is capable of. A

baby may be the most dependent creation in the universe, and

yet within a few short years, it becomes the most powerful. The

more we use and magnify our present talents, the more talents

we are given and the greater our capacity becomes.

Author Marianne Williamson beautifully expressed how

oftentimes we are awed, even fearful, of our native endowmentslargely,

I believe, because of the sense of responsibility they lay

upon us: our deepest fear is not that inadequate. Our deepest

fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not

our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I

to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are not

to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the

world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other

people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine,

as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God

that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And

as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people

permission to do the same. As we’re liberated from our own fear,

our presence automatically liberates others.

Leaders are solution to a problem. Think of your contribution to

another as an assignment. A lawyer is assign to his client. A wife is

assign to her husband and a husband is assign to his wife. Parents

are assign to their children. Employees are assign to their

employers.

Your assignment is always to a person or people. Your

assignment will always solve a problem. Your life is a solution to

someone in trouble. Find those who need you and what you have

to offer.

At the end of the day ask yourself these questions: What

specific- problem have you recently struggled with but

successfully solved.

How can you help others apply to their own situation what you

learned in solving your problem?

How can you make a positive contribution during the coming

week in the life of someone to whom you are assigned?

Build your life around that contribution.

Leaders are problem-solver.
