#THEPHOTOFINISHED: #FLICKRDELETES #USER'S4,000PICTURES!

This is a nightmare. Photo-sharing site Flickr accidentally deleted 4,000 pictures belonging to Zurich-based photographer Mirco Wilhelm, The New York Observer reports.

Flickr, which is owned by Yahoo, apologized for the mistake and offered Wilhelm four free years of Flickr Pro — which costs $24.95 a year.

Earlier, the company said it could not retrieve the photos; however, in a follow up e-mail to Wilhelm, and in a statement to the Observer, Yahoo said it’s now working to restore the photos. “We are working on a process that would allow us to easily restore deleted accounts and we plan on rolling this functionality out soon,” A Yahoo spokesperson said in a statement.
